My passion for video content began early in life, sparked when our dad entrusted me and my sister with the family camcorder. We used it to create stop-motion films and spoof newscasts, discovering the joy of storytelling through visual media. This infatuation grew when I discovered the internet, which for me revolutionized creativity by democratizing access. Platforms like YouTube, with its (back then) boundless creative freedom, and the internet’s unrestricted and limitless archive of cinema history, became formative influences that continue to shape me today.
As a filmmaker, I delve into the emotionality of amateur film media – home movies, phone cameras, and desktop footage – to explore how these everyday tools shape the way we experience and tell stories. In an age defined by technology, my work reflects on my own interconnectedness with the devices that influence my identity and self-image. Through these lenses, I experiment with the boundaries of storytelling, using humour to create an introspective narrative style. My aim is to invite the viewer to reflect upon their own relationship to these tools, and to rethink their role in shaping our personal and collective realities.
Since 2017, I’ve worked professionally in post-production, collaborating with clients such as Tinder, Puma, Bikini Berlin, and the IFRC. This has given me extensive experience in creating engaging online video content, particularly for social media. I am highly proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in „Motion Design“ from BTK in Berlin (2017) and a Master’s degree in „Film Montage“ from the Filmuniversität Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg, completed in 2024.
